In an ideal world, funding would be made available for all filmmakers to make any project they want. However, the reality is that all filmmakers no matter where they live, will need to find ways to monetize their creative works if they seek to earn a living from them. This workshop will outline the various ways that filmmakers can monetize their creative talents. From working with brands, to finding grants – we will cover a plethora of ways that filmmakers can leverage their creative skills to tap into both local and global film publishing markets and distribution opportunities.

2) WORKSHOP 2 - Pitch To Perfection: Getting Your Ideas Out

Workshop begins at 2.00pm – 5.00pm (refreshments intermission midway)

So you have a filmmaking project you want to make, but haven’t the slightest clue how to prepare a pitch deck for potential investors and supporters? Then this workshop is for you. Nearly all filmmakers at some point will need to create and develop a pitch deck to attract necessary resources, funding or PR. This workshop will take emerging and established filmmakers through the entire pitch process – from developing the deck to presenting in a variety of public formats. Participants are encouraged to come with your ideas and will use the class as an opportunity to hone your pitching skills.
